Bestowed collection 21 - dresses

We have kept it really simple making the Abby maxi and Abby midi dresses in black and juniper green. These can be worn on their own, sleeveless or you can add arm coverage by layering either an Aura top or an Ester Cardi. 

We made the Abby maxi in black last time but never did the plain black in the shorter midi length. We had many requests, so now you have that shorter midi option in black or you can go for the lush juniper green variation. 

These dresses with shrugs or Aura tops are perfect for the summer ahead and they make the best traveling garments too. The lightweight organic cotton jersey is able to washed in a hotel basin and dried overnight, and no need to ever iron!

The other dress in this collection (pictured below) is a limited edition run of the Winona dress from 2014. This one size loose dress has ties in the side seams to create tucks that shorten the dress and make a nice drape detail. The Winona dress has large volume pockets from a woven cotton fabric which is also the neckband where the plaited tie gathers up the front and back of the dress and creates the shoulder straps. 

Dakotah and I cut assorted rolls of fabric into this style so we only have a few in each colour. We are making a few at a time so have put them on 'pre-order' in case we need time to sew a few more. We are able to make a total of 3 indigo, 4 fern green, 5 granite and 7 black. Dakotah is getting really quick at plaiting the ties!

We did the photo shoot for this collection up at the Enoggera Reservoir just down the road from our home studio. The photographer was Todd Hunter McGaw as usual as we have such a long history working together (17 years) and the model is my friend Lou Hood. My assistant in the pics below is my son Dakotah.
