REMEDY Pt. 1 RANT Autumn collection.
•Posted on March 19 2019
This week we release the first part of our REMEDY collection. We decided to divide it into two parts, Autumn and Winter, the first part being available from March and the warmer version available when its cooler in May.
So........... this collection features lots of beautiful Japanese made fabrics which are divine to wear. The colouring is predominantly black of course, with some green highlights and to lighten it up (for those who prefer a lighter look) we have some layering tops in crisp white and an off white we call Alabaster.
The Druid top and Druid dress are two new styles featured in this collection. The top and the top part of the dress are made from the most amazing twill cotton knit, Japanese made of course. When I first saw this fabric I couldn't believe that it was knitted as it looks like a woven fabric, especially with the twill. It has some stretch but is more firm and the front and back of the fabric are different textures so I created this style to show that feature. The centre front and back seam is sewn and folded to the outside to show the smooth side of the fabric. The seam is then stitched in charcoal coloured thread in a random zig zag pattern. The neckline and sleeves along with the hem on the Druid top is finished with a cotton rib band, adding another textural detail.
The Druid dress has the same detail as the Druid top but with a full gathered skirt and awesome deep front pockets. It can be worn on it's own or layered over leggings or wide leg pants. You can also put a long sleeved top under either style to make it warmer when the weather cools down.
The Grove Pants are my new fav pants to wear. Mostly because they feel so amazing to wear. The fabric is a Japanese made Tencel/cotton blend which flows perfectly in this loose leg style. The waistband is a 50mm soft elastic with drawcord option which is the same as many of our pants like the Triumph & Honeygem etc.
There are too many styles to put them all in one blog story, so I will post a couple more showing the new styles over the next week.
Remember that ALL, 100% of our garments are made here in Brisbane within 30kms of our studio.
Cheers,
Sarah
